In January-August 2005 the gold mining companies of Tenka area in Magadan region prospected 1616 kg of gold, while the annual quota being 2940 kg. This information was provided by the press service of the regional administration.

Such a poor results is associated with the total reduction of gold prospecting, especially at alluvial gold ddeposits, in the region. Geological searching is not conducted and gold mining companies have to exploit the exhausted areas.
