Gold mining in Krasnoyarsk krai has reduced, as it has been reported by the Union of Russia’s Gold Manufacturers. In January – July 2005 the gold mining companies of the region prospected over 15 tons of the precious metal. Last year this figure was 17.04 tons of gold. However, the region remains the leader in Russian gold mining. Experts say that this year the gold mining in Russia has reduced by 5.5% down to 82 tons.
