The resources of Nurkazgan deposit, one of the largest in Kazakhstan, amount to 72 tons of gold and 1.8 mln tons of copper. According to KZ-today, these resources will be enough for 50-60 years of mining.

This deposit was discovered in January 2003 and in September the industrial exploitation of the deposit started.
