As it has been reported by News.kkb.kz, the resources of Kumtor deposit (Kyrgyzia) exploited by Canadian Centerra Gold Inc. will allow the exploitation of the deposit till 2010.

From 1998 to 2004 geological works took place at the deposit in order to improve the situation – the deposit was nearly exhausted at that time. In 2005 the resources in the area were estimated and they turned out to amount to 9 tons of gold.

In 1H05 the gold mining at Kumtor deposit totalled to 8689.1 kg against 11065 kg in January-June 2004.
