On June 4 Moscow numismatics company Coins And Medals held an auction named Russia’s awards. According to the company’s press service, 156 lots were presented and 116 of them – 75% – were sold.

The top lot of the auction was the rare golden officer cross – its starting price was $56 000 and it was sold for $72 000. The second popular lot was silver award dated from 1904 – it was purchased for $25000 while its starting price being $15 000. Kuban golden award – a very rare one – was sold for $38 000.

The results of the auction show the interest in the awards sector and confirmed the tendency of prices increasing for Russian awards.
