The programme og gold mining industry development in Yakutia in 2002-2004 brought its positive results. In particular, RUR2.8 идт was allocated in 2004 for geological searching in the region, great sum coming from ALROSA Company.

In 2002-2004 alluvial gold prospecting became stable and last year 20.4 tons of gold were mined – 3.2% increase as compared to 2003 results.

In January-April 2005 gold mining in Yakutia amounted to 1657.6 kg. Next year gold mining in the region is planned to total to 22.6 tons.
