Delovaya nedelya reports that MMC Norilsk Nickel this year plans to mine 1.1 mln troy oz of gold that is 2% of the world production. However, these plans may be completely changed – they are connected with the situation with Gold Fields, Norilsk Nickel being the largest shareholder of SA company. Last week Gold Fields Ltd repulsed the attack of Harmony merger.
