On April 16 the company Coins and Medals organised an auction Russian Collection Coins and Medals at Marriott Royal Aurora Hotel. The auction tenders include 276 lots of rare Russian coins and medals of XVII - XX centuries made of gold, silver, copper. 90% of the lots were sold.

The top lot of the auction was a golden medal devoted to the peace signing with Turkey made in 1791. Its starting price was $40 000 and it was sold fro $56 000. A silver rouble coined in 1741 was purchased for $48 000 with its starting price being $25 000. $40 000 were paid for rare ten-roubles coin issued in 1802.
