On April 2, 2005, ALROSA Company held a meeting during which many important questions were discussed. Among the meeting participants there were the heads of Yakut regions and the president of the Republic Vyacheslav Shtyrov.

At the meeting the special address of the chairman of the company’s Supervisory Council, the Minister of Finance of Russia Alexei Kudrin was announced. The address was devoted to ALROSA plans and its role in the world’s diamond sector.

The president of the company Alexander Nichiporuk reported about the company’s results in 2004 and its plans for 2005. He mentioned that ALROSA fulfilled its diamonds mining plans for 102.9%: the company’s enterprises mined diamonds $2167.3 mln worth and sold products for $2480.5 mln including $130.9 mln of cut gemstones. ALROSA net profit last year amounted to 13.9 bln roubles.

Among the tasks for 2005 the most important are the realisation of the company’s policy in sales sphere, further reorganisation of building complex, manufacturing diversification etc.
