On April 5 2005, the Central Bank of Russia issues memorial golden and silver coins of the "Signs of the zodiac" series with the Crab. The series has been supplemented with silver coins at face value of 2 roubles and golden coins at face value of 25 roubles.

The number of coins issued is up to 20 thou each kind. These are the legal payment method in Russian Federation.
