Joint Uzbek and British company Amantaitau Goldfield mined 4.62 tons of gold
Joint Uzbek and British venture Amantaitau Goldfield, exploiting several deposits in Uzbekistan, mined 4.62 tons of gold in 2004. As it has been reported by PRIME TASS, last year the company’s net profit amounted to $15.8 mln.
In April 2004 Uzbekistan Government provided the company with the right to export 70% of gold mined.
In 2005 Amantaitau Goldfield plans to increase gold production up to 370 thou oz a year. The company was founded by British Oxus Gold Plc (50%), Uzbekistan Committee for geology and mineral resources (40%) and Navoi Mining Complex (10%).
