JSC ALROSA and Diamond Chamber of Russia organised a diamond auction on January 17 and now they estimate the results of the tenders.

37 Russian companies and those from the USA, India, Israel, Belgium and Byelorussia participate in the auction. 78 boxes (591 gemstones) were put up for tenders, the total weight of the diamonds being over 10.3 thou ct, including 16 diamonds with over 50 ct each. The largest diamond weighed 158.58 ct. 76 boxes were sold for more than totally $16.6 mln.
