Polymetal Company has issued a press release were it announces the appointment of Sergey Cherkashin Chief Financial Officer of the company.

Sergey Cherkashin was born in Birobidzhan in1962. In 1985 he graduated from Moscow Physical and Engineering Institute, where he majored in “radio-electronic devices”.

In 1992-1993 Cherkashin took an MBA course at Hartford city University (Co, USA).

In 1994 -1995 Sergey Cherkashin held a position of a consultant in AT Kearney consulting company, from 1995 to 1999 he was deputy CEO for economics at Timashevsk dairy factory (Krasnodar territory).

In 1999-2000 Cherkashin was a sales director at Ulianovsk car-factory (UAZ). In 2001-2003 he occupied a position of deputy CEO for development at Volgograd dairy factory.

Before his appointment in Polymetal Cherkashin held a position of the head of the agricultural machine-building department at Interpipe corporation (Ukraine).

Sergey Cherkashin sees his main objectives at Polymetal in cutting costs of attracting external funds, improving financial management, budgeting and expenses control of the company and launch of the enterprises resource planning system.

The former Polymetal Management CFO Konstantin Yanakov is appointed financial director of the ICT Group.
