This year, experts state, Russian largest gold mining company Polus may separate from MMC Norilsk Nickel in order to independently enter the list in foreign stock exchanges.

This event is likely to increase the company’s chances to win the auction for Sukhoi Log deposit selling. Moreover, the company may coordinate with Norilsk Nickel SA partner Harmony.

A possible competitor of Polus at the auction is Polimetall that is expected to become the second in gold mining this year.
