The police of Irkutsk region in 2004 have confiscated 12.6 kg of gold and 998.7 g of silver. As it has been reported by Sibirskie novosti, almost all the people arrested in these cases are miners. About 25% of gold mined in Irkutsk region goes to illegal turnover, the police informs.
