In order to strengthen the State control over gemstones import and export, to resists money laundering, to fight with the world’s terrorism and to fulfil the international scene of diamonds certification the Government of Russia has approved the amendments into the rules of the State control over gemstones sorting and estimation.

Now the Ministry of Finance will set the order of deals with raw natural gemstones. Those mining companies that are not able to sort and classify raw gemstones pass the stones to the GOKHRAN of Russia where all these procedures will be fulfilled.
