ALROSA Supervisory Council held a meeting
On December 16 ALROSA Supervisory Council held a meeting in Moscow. The meeting was headed by the Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin. The press service of the company informs that during the meeting it was decided to relieve Vladimir Kalitin of his post of the Company’s president. Alexander Nichiporuk, ex-vice president of ALROSA, was appointed the new president.
The agenda of the meeting included several reports, such as the report about diamonds pits Mir, Aikkhal and Udachny, the report about cooperation with Angola.
In addition the Supervisory Council recommended to develop the cooperation relations with Angola and to examine the possibilities of business relationships with Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone and Namibia.
During the meeting the plan of the Council work for 2005 was approved as well.
