At the meeting of ALROSA Supervisory Council there was a report made on diamonds pits Mir, Aikhal and Udachny. Open diamonds mining there will be soon finished but the resources of the deposits allows to start mining.

As it has been reported by ALROSA press service, Mir Diamond Pit will be launched at the end of 2008, with its planned capacity being 1 mln tons of ore a year (it is planned to reach in 2010).
