On November 11 the government of Russia discussed and approved the project of natural resources development programme. In particular, it provides deposits restoration investment. Totally, 255 bln roubles will be needed for these purposes, 15% of which will be allocated for precious metals deposits.

According to MFD-Info Centre, the programme provides the most important regions in the field of precious metals and gemstones mining. Thus, Siberia, Far East and some areas of South Federal region are the priority-given regions in the field of gold resources, Eastern Siberia and North-West of Russia — in the field of diamonds mining.
