Teleinform reports that this December an expedition will explore a plot in Katanga area in Irkutsk region. Some sources say that the aim of the expedition is diamonds searching, the expedition being organised by ALROSA Company.

There are four companies having the right to explore Katanga area, they are JSC ALROSA, OJSC Surgutneftgaz, Irkutskgeofizika and Yeniseyfizika Companies.
