As it has been reported by RIA Novosti, the auction aimed at Sukhoi Log selling is planned to take place in November 2005 if only the Government doesn’t decide to organise it earlier. In any case the auction won’t be held this year. The starting price is expected to exceed four billion roubles.

The auction has been already postponed many times. However, the price has not been broadcasted yet.

Sukhoi Log deposit is located in Irkutsk region. Experts say that the deposit has about 40% of Russian gold resources and is the largest Eurasian gold deposit. Such companies as Norilsk Nickel, Polimetall, Bazovy Element, Barrick Gold and Fleming Family & Partners have announced their decision to participate in the auction.
