KZ-today informs that the main Uzbekistan gold producer is Navoi Metallurgical Mining Complex. At the beginning of 2007 the company intends to start Kokpatas and Daugyztau deposits exploitation. The plant building will be fulfilled in two steps: the first, construction, will finish in 2007 and will allow the company to reach the planned capacity at the deposits. The second step (2008-2010) is aimed at the plant development and production volume duplication.

The plant will be constructed without foreign credits attraction.

Navoi Complex mines at average 57-59 tons of gold annually with total production in the Republic being about 80 tons. By 2010 the Complex intends to have increased gold mining volume by 20%.
