Axxording to YASIA, a new exposition opened in Yakutsk Regional Museum. It is named Zolotaya Yakutia – Golden Yakutia and is devoted to the 80th jubilee of gold mining industry in the region and the history of the industry.

Totally Yakut gold mining sector has produced 1920 thou tons of the precious metal. Recently the industry has started developing, this year it is planned to produce 20.2 tons of gold, and by 2007 these figures are planned to have exceeded 23 tons.
