Buryatzoloto has decreased gold mining by 1.6%
As it has been informed by MFD-InfoCentre, one of the largest Russian gold mining companies, OJSC Buryatzoloto, in the first six months of 2004 mined 2.271 kg of gold that is by 1.6% less than the same period last year (2.307 kg).
The company exploits two ore gold deposits – Irokinda and Zun-Kholba – and several alluvial deposits. In the nearest future it will start developing Berezitovboe gold deposit together with Canadian High River Gold.
In 2003 the net profit of Buryatzoloto amounted to $6.8 mln, it is by 23.6% more than in 2002 ($5.5 mln). Last year the company produced 153.754 troy ounces of gold.
