As it has been reported by IA KNews, the CEO of MMC Norilsk Nickel Mikhail Prokhorov has confirmed the intention of his company to participate in the tenders for the Sukhoi Log gold deposit exploitation. The auction is planned to take place in the forth quarter of 2004.

Now Norilsk Nickel is the leader in Russia gold mining industry, it produces about 28 tons of gold a year. In the nearest five years it plans to increase this figure up to 100 tons.
