Kontrakty reports that the volume of bank metals imported to Ukraine has reached 10 tons a year. Ukrainian precious metals market is being considered as one of the most promising and successfully developing in CIS. In several years the country may become a regional centre of the international precious metals trade. This question was discussed in Moscow during the forum organised by London Bullion Market Association in July.

Ukraine now has about 230 gold deposits with their resources estimated at about 100 tons each. However, precious metals mining is not a very important problem in the country. The world experience has shown that this factor doesn’t influence the development of metal market.

Experts predict that in the nearest future Ukrainian precious metals market will be developing even more rapidly due to demand growing. The legislation of the country allows this development taking place.
