Stillwater Mining workers will go on strike
As it has been informed by IA Norilskie novosti, Stillwater Mining workers have not signed a collective agreement and intend to start a strike. PACE Union has not approved the agreement signed on June 30 by the Union’s management and Stillwater leaders.
Yesterday the company’s’ shares fell by 2.4%. Stillwater was bought by MMC Norilsk Nickel in 2003 and Russian company has faced many troubles since that time. In 2003 Stillwater’s losses amounted to $331.5 mln. Now there is a problem with the staff.
Norilsk Nickel hopes that this obstacle will be soon overwhelmed and the strike will long not more than several days.
