PRIME-TASS informs that in the first six months of 2004 OJSC Buryatzoloto, one of Russian largest gold mining companies, mined 2 tons 271 kg of gold. Last year this figure was 2 tons 307 kg.

The company exploits two gold ore deposits: Irokinda and Zun-Kholba, develops several alluvial areas in Buryatia. In the nearest future it plans to start working at Berezitovoe deposit together with Canadian High River Gold.
