Polit.ru informs that in the nearest future European Commission is likely to approve the trade agreement between diamonds mining company ALROSA and De Beers on Russian natural diamonds supplies. The agreement was signed in December 2001 in Moscow.

The representatives of both companies expressed an opinion that the agreement consideration had taken plenty time. However, the dialog with European Commission was quite constructive and the decision is expected to come soon.

In 2003 ALROSA provided De Beers with diamonds $635 mln worth. According to the trade agreement, Russian company will supply De Beers with diamonds $4 bln worth in course of five years.
