The annual Lena Gold shareholders’ meeting will take place on June 28, 2004
Prime-Tass publishes that the board of gold mining company Lena Gold (Irkutsk region) has established the date of the company’s shareholders’ meeting. It will be organized on June 28, 2004, in Moscow. The agenda of the meeting will include the following questions: annual report approval, annual results, dividends payments, new board election and many others.
Now Lena Gold board includes four representatives of CJSC Polus (MMC Norilsk Nickel subsidiary), one representative of MMC itself, two representatives of Moscow Barristers Board, Lena Gold CEO and three representatives of Visa Juridical Company.
Lena Gold enterprises exploit about 100 gold deposits with total resources being 200 tons of gold.
Mr Prokhorov, MMC Norilsk Nickel CEO, informed as well that MMC Norilsk Nickel planed to increase Lena Gold gold mining volume up to 15-17 tons in 2-3 years. MMC is ready to invest $30 mln into the company’s development. MMC has 65% of Lena Gold voting shares.
In 2003 Lena Gold Holding mined 9.6 tons of gold, in 2002 this figure being 9 tons 245 kg.
