RIA Novosti reports that the contest for the Sukhoi Log gold deposit selling may be announced at the end of June. This information has been provided by the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources Yuriy Trutnev. The Minister informed as well that the starting price of the deposit will be not less than $150 mln.

Sukhoi Log, being Eurasian largest gold deposit, is situated in Irkutsk region. Its resources are estimated at 1029 tons of gold. The deposit contains platinum, palladium and rhodium as well.

There are several companies that have already announced about their intentions to participate in the contest. Among them there are Norilsk Nickel, Polimetall, Base Element, Canadian Barrick Gold and British Fleming Family & Partners Companies.
