On May 12, 2004, there was a meeting held in the Chamber of Industry and Commerce devoted to the amendments to the law “On precious metals and gemstones”
V. Rudakov, the chairman of the Committee on precious metals and gemstones and the chairman of CJSC Polus board, participated in the meeting.
He informed that on April 20, 2004, the Committee, the Union of Gold Producers of Russia, Jewellers Guild of Russia Association and Precious Metals Magazine organised a conference devoted to the new law “On precious metals and gemstones”. Among the conference’s participants there were deputies of the State Duma, the representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the GOKHRAN, the Assay Office of Russia, Russian largest precious metals mining companies and organisations.
The meeting on May 12 was devoted to the discussion of the amendments to the law “On precious metals and gemstones”. All the amendments discussed will be directed to the Government of Russia.
