Magadan State Broadcasting Company informs that the programme of Magadan region mineral complex was considered on May 17 during the meeting at the regional administration. The principal question included in the agenda was the preferences about further mining in the region: precious metals or coal and oil?

The history of Magadan geological mining count 70 years. During this period about 3000 tons of gold and 5000 tons of silver have been mined there. However, the region is rich in copper, wolfram, lead, molybdenum and many other elements.

Experts now have the whole summer to decide what minerals need more attention and more investments.
