The net profit of OJSC Buryatzoloto in 2003 increased by 23.6 % up to $6.8 mln
As it has been informed by PRIME-TASS, the net profit of OJSC Buryatzoloto (BRZL), one of the largest gold mining companies in Russia, in 2003 amounted $6.8 mln. It is by 23.6% more than in 2002 ($5.5 mln). A-shares of the company belong to Canadian High River Gold Mines Ltd..
In 2003 Buryatzoloto produced 153.754 thou oz of gold. The company exploits three deposits – Irokinda, Leninskiy Kocei and Zun-Kholba. In the nearest future, perhaps in 2005, Buratzoloto together with High River Gold will develop Berezitovoe deposit. The total cost of building project amounts to $50 mln. Russian experts state that the deposit’s resources are about 43 tons of gold and 225 tons of silver.
