According to IA MiK, the regularly scheduled round of negotiations on Russia’s entering WTO was held in Paris on May 13. There were two officials participating in the meeting: the deputy Minister of Trade and Economic Development of Russia German Gref and European commissar on trade Pascal Lami. The results of the meeting are quite promising – according to Mr Gref, the protocol about Russia’s entering to WTO may be coordinated with European Union during the next summit that will take place on May 21 in Moscow.

One of the questions included in the agenda of the meeting was the policy of goods transportation limits. Negotiations partners admit that Russia should have the right to limit diamonds import and export but only with the purposes of customs administration. The observations mentioned have been taken into consideration by Russian party.
