IA Taimyrskiy telegraf publishes that MMC Norilsk Nickel intends to sell the total volume of palladium that will be produced in 2004. This information has been provided by Anton Berlin, the head of the company’s market analysis and development department.

According to Mr Berlin, Norilsk Nickel tries to achieve the same level of palladium sales in Asia, the USA and Europe. Norilsk Nickel Europe, Norilsk Nickel Asia and Norilsk Nickel USA sell the precious metal produced by Russian industrial giant.

Mr Berlin mentioned as well that Norilsk Nickel and Stillwater Company have decided not to sign an agreement on palladium supplies. According to this contract, Russian company was to supply not less than 1 mln oz to Stillwater annually. Perhaps, in the future the agreement will be reconsidered.
