Day.Az informs that in 2004 there will be the Centre of diamonds trade founded in Armenia. This information has been provided by the head of precious gemstones and jewellery department of the Ministry of Economic and Trade Development of Armenia Gagik Mkrtchan. This centre will be created in course of the year.

The question of a diamond bourse creation in Armenia was discussed in September 2003 in the context of the First Economic Forum. This centre will need large sums of money that is not available from the domestic sources.
