Strana.ru informs that on Thursday Russian business community was shocked by sensational gossips – some mass media stated that Vladimir Potanin, Russian famous businessman, was summoned to the Office of Public Prosecutor. However, a bit later there were disproves published.

Nevertheless, the shares of MMC Norilsk Nickel owned by Mr Potanin fell on Thursday by 6.5%. Experts consider this fall to be connected with precious metals prices decrease in the world’s market.

One can’t exclude that one of the reason for the gossips to appear is the intention of the company to buy Sukhoi lOg gold deposit in Irkutsk region. At the end of April or at the beginning of May there will be an official announcement made about the tenders date and conditions. The deposit was found in 1977. Gold, platinum and platinoids have been discovered there.
