RIA Novosti publishes that JSC ALROSA plans to allocate 800 mln roubles for dividends payments for 2003 (in 2002 this sum amounted to 700 mln roubles). Such a proposition was made at the company’s board’s meeting on Monday.

During the meeting there were other questions discussed. In particular, the company’s financial situation has improved – in 2003 the net profit totalled to 9663.2 mln roubles. Last year there were raw diamonds $1697.3 mln worth sold, cut diamonds $123.4 mln worth were realised in 2003. In 2004 it is planned to mine raw diamonds $1856 mln worth.

ALROSA is one of the largest diamonds mining world’s companies, its share in the world’s diamonds mining is about 25%.
