MMC Norilsk Nickel examines three largest gold deposits
PRIME-TASS publishes that OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel is examining three Russian largest gold deposits: Bamskoe (Amursk region), Pavlik and Omchaxkoe (Magadan region). The total volume of Bamskoe deposit resources s estimated at 2.6 mln ounces, Pavlik ? 3.2 mln ounces, Omchaxkoe ? 0.6 mln ounces of gold.
MMC Norilsk Nickel owns Polus gold mining company, 50.6% of Matrosov Pit and 65.87% of Lena Gold shares. In 2003 the enterprises of MMC produced about 40 tons of gold. This year the company plans to remain gold mining volumes at the same level.
