As it has been informed by YASIA, the results of Yakut mining enterprises work in the first quarter of 2004 have been estimated in the Sakha Republic. In January ? March this year there were 1432.8 kg of gold mined in the Republic. As for gemstones, in January ? February 2004 Yakut mining companies mined diamonds $242.9 mln worth.

On the whole there is a growth of mining volumes in the Sakha Republic. However, experts predict a decrease in net profits due to dollar?s sate falling.
