As it has been reported by Interfax, the State company Novosibirsk Refining Factory may be sold within a year to a private person. This announcement was made by the company’s CEO Gennadiy Gordeev.

He mentioned that there were no exact information about it, but there were possibilities for the company’s privatisation. In March 2003 Novosibirsk Refining Factory became a joint-stock company. Privatisation may become the next step.

Mr Gordeev informed that now there are ten refining factories working in Russia. Novosibirsk factory was built in 1941, before 1990 it had processed about 60% of Russian gold, now this figure being about 20%.
