According to RIA Novosti, on May 18, 2004, the Ministry of Finance will organise an open auctions for diamonds weighing 10.8 ct and more realisation in domestic market. The auction will take place in the building of the GOKHRAN of Russia.

Russian diamonds cutting enterprises that have sent applications and have registered all the documents needed are allowed to participate in the auction. They will also have to leave 30 thou roubles as a deposit. One organisation can send only one application. The deadline for applications filing is May 7, 2004.
