Yantar Broadcasting Company reports that the Second regional contest of amber items will be the first event that will be held in the context of 25th anniversary of Amber Museum in Kaliningrad. The purpose of the contest is to stimulate the artists working with amber and to support young designers. The organisers of the contest consider the event to assist in amber trade development in the region. The contest will be named Alatyr 2004. There will be several awards given to the contest winners.
