A unique numismatic museum will be founded in Yaroslavl. It will be the only Russian museum of this kind. Its presentation is planned to take place on April 2, 2004.

The location of the museum rides on the existence of a mint in this ancient Russian city. In 1612 this mint coined Yaroslavl kopecks.

The exposition of the future museum includes 85 thou coins, among which there are several famous items of coinage art: a silver rouble, a copper kopeck and a golden coin of 2-roubles face value.
