Smolensk Kristall Company has begun large-scale purchases of rough diamonds on the free market. Negotiations with South African and Belgian raw diamonds suppliers were being held throughout 2003. The company has already made a number of test purchases. Finally there was an agreement made the other day concerning diamonds supplies $4 mln worth.

For many years Russian Cut diamonds are of special demand in the world’s market, and Smolensk Kristall specialises in such diamonds production. In order to satisfy this demand, the company needs additional diamonds supplies.
