Interfax informs that in 2004 Minas-Iraklion Company will continue diamonds searching at Akhmerovskoe deposit in Bashkiria. According to the company’s CEO, the cost of exploration works will amount to 60 mln roubles. It is likely that this sum will be allocated from the budget of eth Republic.

Searching works at the deposit have been held since 2000. Last year they cost 7.15 mln roubles.

However, experts state that it is too early to speak about large diamond deposit presence in the region as there has been only the first phase of the geological works finished.
