According to IA REGNUM, on March 22 CJSC Marakan was the first to start gold mining in Bodaibo area in Irkutsk region. It is the largest enterprise of Lena Gold in the area.

In 2004 Lena Gold plans to build new gold mining factory at Vysochaishee deposit. It is expected to extract 1 tonn of gold this year. In general, Lena Gold intends to get 10-11 tons of gold annually.
