The delegation of gold mining company Polus has visited Totonto where it was participating in the international forum of mining industry. The forum took place from 7 to 10 March. The delegation headed by the company’s first vice-president Vladimir Sovmen included the management and experts from CJSC Polus branches.

At the same time the delegation was invited to take part in Canadian and Russian economic commission’s meeting that was held on March 10. During the meeting there was CJSC Polus presentation held. Mr Sovmen made a report in which he informed about the company, its results (in 2003 over 26 tons of gold were mined), technologies applied etc.

In 2004 the company plans to build gold mining factory and to increase gold production at Olimpiadinskoe deposit, to explore Natalka gold deposit, to work out the strategy of Lena Gold development. The visit to Toronto was of great importance for the company’s cooperation with foreign companies.
