According to Interfax, in 2003 MMC Norilsk Nickel increased precious and non-ferrous metals production by 30% up to $5.21 bln worth. This information was given in the announcement made by the deputy chairman of the company’s board Maxim Finskiy.

Nickel production amounted to 309 thou tons, copper — 467 thou tons, gold — over 30 tons. Platinum and palladium production volume increased as well, the announcement reported.
